Research professor Cecilia Gotor has been awarded an AEC 2025 Honor Plaque
On 20th November 2025, the XXVII Edition of the 2025 Honor Plaques of the Spanish Association of Scientists was presented, an event aimed at fostering interaction and the exchange of knowledge among R&D&I professionals in Spain.
In this context, CSIC Research Professor and principal investigator of the Metabolism and Signaling by Sulfide and Cyanide group at IBVF-CSIC-US, Cecilia Gotor Martínez, was awarded an AEC 2025 Honor Plaque in the Scientists category.
This recognition highlights her studies on cysteine biosynthesis in plants and on intracellular signalling mediated by cysteine-derived molecules, contributions that have significantly advanced the understanding of new cellular signalling mechanisms involving molecules such as cyanide and sulfide.
