Successful hosting of the 3rd Agro-Hub PhD Students Meeting at the IBVF

On March 12th and 13th, 2026, the third edition of the Agro-Hub PhD Students Meeting was held at the Institute of Plant Biochemistry and Photosynthesis (IBVF). The event was very well received by predoctoral researchers from six CSIC centers in Andalusia both fully CSIC-owned and joint institutes, turning the IBVF into a hub of biotechnological and agricultural innovation.

The event set an attendance record, surpassing 165 participants, and brought together more than thirty high-level speakers who presented key advances and results from their respective research projects. In addition, a record number of poster contributions was reached, with over 65 researchers registered in this format.

In this context, the IBVF played a prominent role both in organizing the event and contributing to its scientific content, with around twenty researchers participating across different formats. These contributions helped showcase the institute’s main research lines, focused on the biochemistry and biology of photosynthetic microorganisms and plants.
