Research Interests

My research focuses on investigating the mechanisms that control gene expression in model cyanobacteria, particularly Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 and Anabaena/Nostoc sp. PCC 7120. To address this objective, we examine mutants with alterations in glycogen metabolism and in key regulators of carbon flux. We also evaluate the potential of these mutants for the development of biotechnological applications.
