Research Interests
Throughout my scientific career I have been involved in the study of the biochemistry and molecular biology of lipid metabolism in plants, with the aim of improving crop yields and the production and quality of plant oils. Currently, I am focused on the study of chloroplast redox regulatory systems and their contribution to lipid metabolism and plant response to environmental stresses. The ultimate goal is to identify biotechnological targets to improve the tolerance of crops to adverse environmental conditions.
