Research Interests
My research career has been focused in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology. During my predoctoral stage, my studies were focused on the development of nanoformulations for the improvement of antitumor drugs against lung cancer. Currently, my scientific interest has been redirected to plant biotechnology, specifically, to the study of chloroplast redox regulation systems in Arabidopsis thaliana, with the aim of understanding the adaptive mechanisms of plants to different environmental conditions. This knowledge would allow the design of biotechnological strategies that would improve plant tolerance to different environmental stresses.
