Research Interests
Our research addresses fundamental questions related to plant salinity tolerance. Salt stress limits plant vegetative growth and crop yields worldwide.
An appropriate sodium homeostasis is the key to plant adaptation to a saline environment. Therefore, our group is interested in the characterization of plant Na+ transport systems, as well as in the mechanisms that regulate their activity.
