Formation
Graduated in Biotechnology from Pablo de Olavide University (Seville), including a full-year Erasmus exchange at Ruhr University Bochum (Germany). I also completed a Master’s in Environmental, Industrial, and Food Biotechnology at Pablo de Olavide University, specializing in the environmental branch. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Integrated Biology at the University of Seville, based at the Institute of Plant Biochemistry and Photosynthesis, within the Plant Biochemistry and Molecular Biology area, working in the plant–cyanobacteria symbiosis research group.
Research Interests
My scientific interest focuses on the molecular biology of microorganisms, with a particular emphasis on understanding the genetic and metabolic mechanisms that regulate their function and adaptation. Additionally, I am motivated to explore the potential applications of this knowledge in the environment, seeking sustainable biotechnological solutions to improve ecosystem health, support bioremediation, and harness natural resources through functional microorganisms.
