Research Interests

My work has primarily focused on studying regulatory processes orchestrated by non-coding RNAs (either small RNAs or antisense transcripts) in the context of cyanobacterial response to various environmental conditions, including nitrogen deprivation (which leads to heterocyst differentiation in Nostoc) or fluctuations in light availability, a critical factor for the physiology of this group of photosynthetic bacteria.
