Research Interests
My research work has focused on deepening the knowledge of plant nutrition mechanisms, the impact of N and S metabolism on plant adaptation to abiotic and biotic stress and cell signaling mechanisms. Currently, I am interested in deepen the regulation of the intracellular signaling processes mediated by the gasotransmitters Hydrogen Sulfide and Hydrogen Cyanide. Both molecules act at the molecular level by post-translationally modifying proteins through persulfidation and cyanylation, respectively, which regulate numerous physio-pathological processes in plants.
