Research Interests

My research line focuses on understanding the dynamics and regulation of carbon metabolism in photosynthetic microorganisms. To this end, we combine physiological, biochemical, and omics approaches with the use of mutant strains and complemented lines, analyzing how carbon fluxes are reorganized in response to different environmental conditions. The specific objectives of this research line are:

  1. To identify regulatory proteins involved in carbon fixation.
  2. To study the mechanisms that coordinate the formation of functional enzymatic complexes.
